Roblox reached a new all-time high concurrent user count on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, with 32,696,856 players across all games and experiences on the platform! 🤯. The previous record was 32,019,559 set last Saturday, July 12th, 2025.

This update is now rolling out to a limited percentage of users globally in the next few weeks.

The Video Captures API is now available to experience creators on Roblox. This new feature will allow players to automatically record and clip key moments during gameplay up to 30 seconds in length.

Roblox has added a separate volume slider to control the sound level of Party voice chat while in an experience. The regular volume slider will continue to control the overall level of Roblox menu and experience sound effects.

The built-in Roblox Freecam now supports tilting. On your keyboard, you can hold Z to tilt to the right, and hold C to tilt to the left. Note that you can only use Freecam in experiences you own or have permission to use Freecam in.

Items with PBR textures will have a different price floor than standard items to reflect their enhanced value for users. The upload fee for PBR items remains the same as regular items (R$750).

PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) textures are now available for accessories uploaded to the Roblox Avatar Marketplace. This means creators can now add roughness and metalness properties to simulate more realistic textures, like shine or fabric.
