#NeverGiveUp.This lil girl (me) lived in poverty all of her childhood. She studied hard & received a partial scholarship to TSU! This woman (me) retired from successful civilian & military careers. Now she's a member of organizations that award college scholarships to students.

#poverty .Five states have not adopted a state minimum wage (Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee). The federal minimum wage hasn't increased since 7/24/09, yet costs have increased. Poverty wages!. State Minimum Wages

#poverty .The U.S. is one of a few countries where the federal mw is determined by politicians. Many states/ cities have increased their mw. A higher mw will lift millions out of poverty. The federal minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 for 15 years : NPR

Fifteen years ago this Wednesday, the federal minimum wage went up from $6.55 per hour to $7.25. It hasn't budged since.
