At BSS we teach Independent Living Skills necessary for a blind or visually impaired person to manage on their own. That includes techniques for cooking. This can be espeically liberating to those who had lost their vision after already knowing how to do so before.

On Sunday 1/20/19 at ~530pm, a drunk driver slammed his SUV into our office building. We had severe damage to our office and we are in the process of trying to get things back to normal. Thankfully no one was at our facility to get hurt.

A student led our peer support group through a ring of Saturn exercise to illustrate the way that those coping with vision loss are not alone. They can give and get help even from others in the same situation. #love #blindness #blind #visuallyimpared #hope
