You know when make some frivolous purchase and think ‘screw it, it’s only €10’ (or $10 or whatever your currency is) imagine dropping that money every month on a thing which makes your childhood dreams possible.

Google search for 'Blender news', after the two top links (blender org and blendernation), google presents you with 'People also ask'. GenAI crap.

Does anyone have any tips on using volumetrics in EEVEE Next? Previously setting up a world with volume was pretty simple now it seems broken #b3d #blender3d

There are entire film franchises out there that can only dream of pulling off what @OfficialBlueyTV does, they can break your heart and fill it with joy again in 7 minutes. Give them 28 minutes and they can ruin you emotionally.

No CGI! All filmed for real! Practical is better! CGI is killing cinema! Tired of the anti-CGI backlash? Here’s my rant 😡 about all of this (and some suggestions on how to fix it) 👉 What's up with all the CGI hate? https://t.co/z3yhotBPOV

This is madness, studios are insane. Another great thread by Todd.
Regular people assume the footage from behind-the-scenes featurettes are the “truth” — in fact, it is now standard practice to alter pieces of documentary footage from EPK “making-of” b-roll for public consumption for various reasons.

Hey @blenderdev given 4.0 is imminent has the Real-Time Mode that was mentioned in the 3.x Roadmap been abandoned? Started? Re-imagined? Was really excited about this direction for experiences etc. #blender3d @Blender @tonroosendaal @PabloVazquez_ #b3d

round of make final decisions in post and over work the artists. Having seen the film this Friday night in a virtually empty cinema it felt criminal that this film and it's DIY VFX positive ethic has not had the audience it deserves. I hope you wont take this as personal but...

promote as film makers. They shot the film on a consumer grade camera, handed the footage to the VFX house (ILM) with paint overs and basically said this is what we'd like final frame to look like. This promotes a healthy way to work for VFX artists, rather than the merry go...

be willing to talk about this again given that the shot is not in the final movie, was used as a temp effect that was accidently left in the trailer, that you yourselves discussed it on your podcast as good reference footage and that this film represents everything that you...

Dear Movie goers, if you want to see original ideas being made then you need to go and support them!! Though I will accept that this film has been massively under promoted. https://t.co/O6CsSpLgC1

The Creator is disappointing at the box office.

Waking up still thinking about how good #TheCreator was. Finding out Gareth Edwards shot it himself using a consumer level camera is incredible, the movie has the beautiful/gritty look of a 90s film. He’s carrying the DIY ethic of Monsters into an $85m budget
Director Gareth Edwards shot an $80,000,000 IMAX movie on the $3,800 Sony FX3. Here he is gushing about the camera on The Creator red carpet. clip via: @HeyUGuys
