A positive update, she is now very slowly starting to breathe by herself again. She’s still on a ventilator but they’ve reduced the amount of support it’s giving. She’s due to be woken out of the induced coma tomorrow. She will hopefully start to make a slow but steady recovery❤️

A quick update: My mum has now been fully taken off the sedatives but is still not fully woken up. Her eyes are open and she's blinking slowly, but she still can't move yet ☹️
She did also cough when they checked the ventilation tube. Her blood pressure is also stable 🤞❤️

Update: I went to see my mum in the hospital today, she no longer has sepsis!
The sedation has now been permanently removed (I think), she is getting more aware, today she looked at me and her eyes followed me as I moved, however she can't yet move her arms
She's improving ❤️
New update on my mum: her temperature has stayed low, heart rate is back down to normal, she's now off the ventilator and onto a tracheostomy, her breathing is slowly getting back to normal and her infection markers are also still getting lower
She is slowly getting better ❤️

A new update: a surgeon came to see my mum today, they’ve checked her tummy, and it’s now soft and no longer hard, meaning the issues have been fixed. The surgery has been a success❤️
My mums infection markers are down a little bit, but still high heart rate and blood pressure
An update on my mum: she’s battling a high heart rate and temperature, but she still remains stable. She’s still in a medically induced coma but plans are now being made to withdraw all sedation but that can only happen when the sepsis has cleared up.

My Nan, stepdad and the nurses thought she would die during surgery but she has defied the odds and survived.
She is incredibly strong and I know she’s gonna pull through the rest of this horrible battle ❤️
For those wondering what they did, they’ve checked that the surgery they did about 11 days ago fixed the stomach perforation.
They have flushed her stomach out and also removed any of the leaked stomach liquid from her abdomen.
I think they’ve also removed an intestine blockage
