These lads will have had a much better afternoon than they would have had if they had been hanging around their local shopping centre or had been cosseted in their bedroom playing whatever computer game is the current big thing. If only more would try it up and down the country!
As an SFA member club, we are not aware of any Pyramid Review conducted by
@ScottishFA
which addressed the ongoing concerns of clubs at tier 6 and below in the Lowland League area. Such a review is urgently required and would hope the governing body address this as a priority.
We can confirm that members have voted in favour of including B teams for season 2023/24.
This vote comes following the Pyramid Review undertaken by the Scottish FA this season.
Before the local derby against Broxburn Athletic this afternoon, first team players and management presented one of our young supporters, Mark, with a signed photo book to help him celebrate his 14th birthday. Happy Birthday Mark, from everyone at the club.
To quell speculation and rumour, Blackburn United can confirm that on 16th March the Club lodged an application for membership of the East of Scotland Football League. A further statement will be made once the EoSFL convene an EGM to consider applications received.
We would absolutely endorse David's comments. As we said a couple of weeks ago, the SFA have not carried out a proper review at all, just an exercise in shoehorning B teams into the Pyramid at any cost. We would call on
@ScottishFA
to withdraw this proposal & engage with clubs.
Livingston boss David Martindale warns against 'elitism' amidst Conference League plans. Says he's in favour of B teams - but they should have to work their way up the pyramid
Start of End of
the decade the decade
.....and from the bottom half of the old East Region South Division to the Premier Division of the East of Scotland Football League and Tier 6 of Scottish Football.
The Club are thrilled to announce that the senior side have been accepted as full members of the SFA after an application for membership was approved by the association board and confirmed today by Chief Executive Ian Maxwell.

We would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of the young
@FauldhouseA
player who took his own life at the weekend. Robbie played with our 1999s for two seasons and will be missed by all who knew him at the
@PurdieWorldwide
Community Stadium.
RIP young man.
We can only echo the comments by our friends at Broxburn. We hope
@ScottishFA
are prepared to listen and engage constructively with clubs on this serious issue, as you would expect a responsible governing body to do.
Stoneyburn Secretary Steven MacMIllan
The terribly sad news this morning about the death of Stoneyburn secretary Steven MacMillan at such a young age puts all our worries about football into perspective. Our sincerest condolences to the MacMillan family and all at
@TheFulshie
.
The Seniors today beat Broxburn Athletic “By A Lot”. First thing Monday morning our lawyers will be petitioning the Supreme Court to ensure that the
@EastScotlandFA
do not declare the
@BroxburnAthFC
win as valid.
A very poignant but painful read about the wonderful family of our Vice President and their brave and ultimately losing battle to get help for their beautiful daughter. It is so important we all think of those who need help and lend that help where we can.

loanees this season, Jack Garrad, Fergus Owens & Jamie Smith as they return to their parent club. All 3 played a massive part in retaining our Premier League status and are exceptionally talented footballers. All the best lads 👍
FT: Blackburn United 1 Thorn Athletic 4. A brave effort by the U17s in a rip-roaring second half but fell short in the end to a good side. Should be proud of their achievement in getting to the final 👍
In August 2000

The Club recently received a lovely piece of correspondence with regard to one of our youth teams and their considerate behaviour when out on a training run.
Well done guys, staying safe and doing their best to make sure everyone else stays safe too.
