My wonderful husband @HarrySargent83 surprised me with the BEST present today. a full bound copy of my PhD. Need to find the best place to showcase it in the new house now ❤️

Packing up the house ready to move & just boxed up all my piracy books from the shelf on my desk where they have lived since 2017 when I started my PhD. Realised it has been 3yrs since I finished. Time flies & so much has changed in the last 7 years #memories #moving #PhD.

There are worse ways to spend ones annual leave than going for a walk to an ice cream farm in the lovely Cumbrian scenery with my favourite little man.

After an incredibly stressful week last week I'm in sunny Cumbria this week seeing the husband's side of the family & babysitting my nephew later in the week. First night here & already feeling more relaxed!

I should also say, we don't usually have champagne but it was a wedding gift we saved for a special occassion, & the plastic Thomas the Tank glass & plastic whisky tumblers were my dad's - so he was with us as we toasted the happy moment ❤️ #grieving #newhome #bittersweet.

Yesterday, at the 11th hour & after a stressful 2 days, @HarrySargent83 & I got the keys to our new house. It's bittersweet as my dad isn't here to see it & 1 of the main reason we've got this house is to be close enough to care for my mum now he isn't here - but we're happy ❤️

Had my last night as a full time leader at @1stMatchborough Scouts on Wednesday night before moving north to look after my mum. It's been a joy for the past 7yrs to see the YP in the group thrive. Got lots of flowers & gifts from parents & felt truly appreciated by all ❤️
