2025 Final Medal Count Canada (5) USA (4) Poland (1) What a year. Canada Stepped Up . So many great DJs. The UK usually does great in this Team Challenge but was shut out. America did well, coming in 2nd and delivering the Singles Champ Discognition. Thx to all DJs

Discognition has world class curation skills. His ear for selecting music is unmatched. His own songs & mixes are emotional. In the same song you're liable to dance, cry, laugh, hug somebody, get laid, break-up & get back together all before a perfect blend starts it all over

Now for many reasons I dont want to pressure Discognition into trying to be a superstar DJ. Look he's so talented the onus is no longer on him to "become" a superstar DJ. Tastemakers gotta step up. I dont know if they are incapable or locked into industry BS but it's gotta happen

I am so connected to Discognition's music. His song productions are ultra unique...he has a signature sound & he brings that energy to the many clubs he plays opening for some of the biggest names on the underground. This guy will be a superstar-- the karma & skills are there

Mix #1 by Denver USA Producer/DJ extraordinaire Discognition was a huge live event for his many fans on the underground. It was his first headlining gig. And I almost flew out to Idaho to be there but was fortunate to watch it broadcast live on Atlantic Progression's MixCloud

Mix #2 by veteran Canadian DJ Jason Brauer is a blaze after-hours set from this past summer 5am to 8am at the legendary Vancouver spot Gorg-o-mish. I randomly heard this winning mix & lost my cookies. I DM'ed him and we talked about the supportive scenes in our respective cities

Full disclosure I met very talented #3 Mix DJ Kalin (USA) after a high energy set this summer. I was very intrigued & checked out his SoundCloud. His winning Techno mix is so amazing and garnered our highest recommendation. Cool thing is u dont have to be a Techno fan to enjoy.

Mix #4 Producer/DJ Shell Robinson (USA) is a force. She's dynamite, classy, gorgeous-- a hero to me. Her soul flows in her productions & mixes. Full Disclosure I was a guest on Shell's Prog pod but The mix stuns as a forever memento of her time at the 2025 Balance Croatia Fest
