#EntomologyTwitter - Consider engaging w Nextdoor. I know, but hear me out: a small but reliable element of Nextdoor is folks asking about the bug, snake, or other creature they've found and are likely to kill. This seems like a good venue for entomological education and outreach

Rare bird alert: I found DNA from a scissor-tailed flycatcher in a mosquito collected in July at Empire Ranch, Pima Co., AZ. According to eBird, the last scissor-tail in that area was 2018 ~Madera Canyon, on the other side of the Santa Ritas. Composite image from Homestead, FL.
