This is why society needs long-duration grid-scale batteries: Time shifting solar gen to the evening keeps prices more even and prevents big power ramping. And that is why BioZen is making flow batteries less expensive (more adoptable) w/ ORGANIC fluids.
California's glut of midday PV is paradoxically also bad for solar itself. Solar erodes power prices by displacing more expensive fuel-burning resources, crushing prices it its own hours of generation.
