@atree_org P. juliflora was intro’d to Banni, Kutch, in 1961 to check soil salinity but it rapidly took over 50% of the grasslands. Today it has a complicated r’ship with local communities. @sahanaghosh8 wrote for @MongabayIndia about Ankila Hiremath’s work here:
