Correction: Socialism means a class-free society of people who are equally poor and destitute (or dead). Capitalism has lifted billions out of poverty because it empowers the individual. To want capitalism ended is to want people to live in squalor.

A decade ago we were saying exactly the same thing as now. Socialism means a class-free society of equals, and Venezuela did not have that. Leftism/statism and socialism are totally different. Leftists merely try (futilely) to run capitalism differently. Socialists want it ENDED.
