Maps reflect the time they were drawn for. How will the next generation of cartographers deal with challenges like a world being reshaped by climate change?

🗺 Farewell, orange highways. The latest updates to the Google Maps color scheme mark the end of an era in digital cartography. Gray and blue now rule the cartography scene, as 6 of the top digital map providers all use a shade of gray or blue to represent highways. Just like

🤔 Interesting. Google Maps is quietly rolling out/testing new stylesheets. Not sure how I feel about this yet. Less saturated than Apple Maps. Almost giving Bing Maps vibes (but not as muted/dark). Very teal forward: https://t.co/ntvhAPLp6q
