But even if they are poor, I want them to have minutes ahead of other players. I don't agree, but say McNeil gives you a slightly better chance of winning. Is that best for us long term, that a player who will almost certainly leave in the summer plays ahead of one who's not?

That means they are going to have games they look poor. Aznou is going to look weak at times, Dibling is going to be stupid with the ball sometimes. They're teenagers. That's part of them growing and improving, minutes help them learn what works in matches and what doesn't.

The same is true for Aznou. Development isn't linear so it's possible McNeil and Mykolenko could still improve, but for the most part they are a known quantity. That isn't true of Aznou and Dibling. They're young, they have a lot of time to grow and improve, to get better

When you mention you want more minutes for Dibling, people often say "oh he's been shite" or "oh McNeil has been better than him" but that's kind of missing the point. Even if Dibling has been poor or McNeil has been better, I'd still prefer he get those minutes ahead of McNeil

He's 19, at a new club, insane expectations on him, has he been great? Hardly, but until we start to nurture young talent and give them time to grow, the best we'll ever be is a mid table club that competes for nothing.

Unless Aznou and Dibling are literally kicking the ball into their own net idk how they can be worse than Mykolenko and McNeil. Why did you spend over £50m on them if you keep putting fringe players ahead of them?
