How much time do you work in R? Great question! Last Friday was an R heavy day but that’s because I’m doing primarily analysis right now (less fieldwork/writing). Some weeks I spend no time in R, but other weeks it’s 20 or so hours. It just depends on where I am in my projects!

I have done these before for basking sharks and am now doing them for salmon sharks! But I use R for everything - statistics, figures, and maps.

Is the coding for the Big Fish Lab or a personal project? The coding is all work related. Right now I’m making species distribution models - essentially models that show how different environmental factors affect the probability of detecting a shark.
