You just start the series over with a new Bond doing Bond things in an opening action sequence, cut to the latest Bond Theme Song/opening credits, and never once address it. This is how the series has usually worked, right?

Yes. This is why books will always be better then their movies, and it's also why I have a hard time reading fiction. It has to be dictated just so, or it ruins the "movie in my head". @paolini is one of my favorites for this, I was furious at the film adaptation.
Do you visualize everything while reading a book? As if you are watching a movie?

I'm seeing 1000+ posts and a half about how it's super easy to continue the #JamesBond franchise and I'm about ready to watch it all burn and stop caring. Bringing back Bond after killing him outright when that's never happened before is worse than what Disney did to Star Wars.
