An archived attempt to track Biden from the left

Four years ago I was a bored high school student with a stolen idea. Now, after four years closely watching the Biden Administration, I present my final thoughts. I don't think you will be very surprised...

President Biden couldn't bring himself to support policies that would materially benefit the American people. He wanted to status quo, not to improve American lives. Donald Trump, for better or worse, represents change. Why would Americans support Biden or his enablers?

President Biden perfectly represented the status quo. It was "nothing will fundamentally change" from the beginning. This was his downfall. When the status quo changed on immigration and police reform, President Biden could not defend an increasingly important position.

Unfortunately I’m just not confident that this kind of Twitter activism actually works. I don’t think the people this needs to reach are going to see this. It’s sad and heartbreaking and time to move on and literally throw out the password to this account.

I started this account when I was in COVID lockdown in high school. I had lots of free time. People don’t talk about being addicted to Twitter. I was. I needed to quit. Reflecting years later it was right decision.

This account hasn’t been used consistently in like two years. I tried to keep the Substack going but life just got in the way. As much as I would like to rebrand and continue. I think Twitter is really bad for my mental health and I’m not sure this account really reached new ppl

I’ll be posting a post mortem on the Biden Administration via my Substack in the coming days. Mostly focusing on the first 2.5 years when I was intensely tracking the admin. This account will be archived and left dormant afterwards.

Another thing that is really bothering me is the speed that these things got done. Biden waited a year to try to cancel student debt. It’s day 1 and Trump has already ended birthright citizenship.

One way to stop tying yourself in knots is to just admit that every pardon granted in the last 24 hours is varying degrees of really bad, and that someone you don't like doing something really bad with power is not an excuse for someone you do like doing the same.

Was this not the obvious conclusion of this kind of rhetoric? Did Democrats really think that when Republicans next got power, they wouldn’t try to do this?

It’s horrifying reading my feed and seeing the anti-immigrant executive orders that Trump is signing. One can’t help but wonder why Biden and Democrats didn’t push back on anti-immigrant rhetoric while they had the chance.

It is imperative that you remember there was a way to prevent Donald Trump from becoming President. Joe Biden should have fulfilled his promised and not run for a second term. They will try to blame progressives over the next few weeks. Do not let them win.

If a few dozen brave politicians lead by Bernie struck out and started their own party, the democratic party would quickly collapse. It's extremely fragile, Whigs circa 1852.
Just 33% of all Americans express a favorable view of the Democratic Party, an all-time low in CNN’s polling dating back to 1992

Must be a very exciting day for the media! They finally are allowed to do their jobs and investigate the government. If only they did this the last four years!

With minutes left in his presidency, President Biden granted clemency to Leonard Peltier. Deeply thankful.

There is a correct way to do this BTW. It's pardoning a thousand (don't take the number literally) other people at the same time who are facing similar charges to Hunter. He didn't do that.
