ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ದೂರದ ನಗರಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ಸರ್ಕಾರವೇ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಪಠ್ಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ವಿತರಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವಕಾಶ

ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕ ವಿತರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆ. ಖಾಸಗಿ ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಅನುದಾನ ರಹಿತ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕ ವಿತರಣಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನುಮುಂದೆ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ತಮಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು SATS ತಂತ್ರಾಂಶದ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಂಗಡವಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
