@Dyoung41290832 @johnsweeneyroar @snp Concessions were not enough. They could have offered more - for instance the ability to restrict immigration from EU for a limited period. We'd have never have implemented it, but the idea of being in control would have appeased many.

Not looking too good if you can’t even get your headline right 😂😂😂 Thought you were meant to be some mega mind?.
Wrong. @KarimKhanQC is the ICC prosecutor. He is NOT a judge. On 24 May 2024 he sought arrest warrants against 3 Hamas leaders, 2 of whom are confirmed as having since been killed. He also sought warrants against Netanyahu & Gallant. His statement is here:

When I explain to @bt_uk this is very hard to believe, I'm reminded they are a customer of Openreach and they've been let down too.

Many @TheLawSociety members may hesitate to criticise the SRA's proposed approach publicly but would share their views with you. Conducting a quick poll could strengthen your representations to @LSB_EngandWal.

@guardian It suited the banks to do this as provided they all extended the amount they lent and continued to do so, it supported the higher prices. Higher prices mean larger mortgages, which means more interest and more profits for banks on each mortgage.

Here's an extract from a piece in the @guardian. The data on which it reports only goes back to 1999. If banks had maintained their traditional mortgage lending multiples and LTV percentages, I do not believe we would have seen this rise.

There were many who supported the actions of the government, which is evident in the result of the 1997 election when the Tory government won over 40% of the popular vote. @BBC you can do better.
