Just been editing a section of the main climax of Dark Hills, and I've got that rare, precious feeling ... Wow, this is good! The tension hits with a sudden shock. It builds though action, dialogue, character personality changes. Plus, the changes I have made make it even better

Editing is strangely satisfying. Yes I'm still lost as to how I somehow wrote the first chapter in present tense whilst the rest is in past 🤦♀️ but at least I know so I can fix it. I'll start on chapter two next week. #amediting #amwriting #WritingCommunity

Excerpt from my wip, Dark Hills. The dialogue at the end is reused from something the characters say to each other in chapter one in a happier moment. I love it when books do this especially when the characters have a strong bond and is used in an emotional scene later on.
