A key challenge they highlighted was the lack of door-to-door waste collection, making proper disposal difficult. But instead of stopping at the problem, they focused on solutions: exploring leaf composting as a way to manage organic waste locally and sustainably. 🌱

We’ve been hosting a series of engaging workshops across #Bangalore, working with different communities to tackle pressing local issues. One such session took place in Priyanknagar, where 14 women came together to rethink how #waste is managed in their neighborhood.

But low ridership remained a challenge. To change this, they launched a community-driven awareness campaign—spreading information through women's groups, WhatsApp messages, door-to-door rallies, and mic announcements.

The women of Alli Serona are determined to ensure these services remain viable and are also pushing to introduce new routes in the area. A huge thank you to Bhagyamma for paving the way to a more connected and accessible Bengaluru.

Recently, Bhagyamma and others led a public awareness campaign to let the community know about bus availability. The response has been overwhelming, with people of all ages expressing their gratitude for the buses.
