I did a deep dive into this CR investigation for my blog. Their reporting has a number of concerning errors that completely undermine their findings. Chief among these is a reliance on CA's pseudo-scientific daily lead limits that are far lower than average human intake.
my latest investigation for @ConsumerReports is based on months of reporting and 60+ lab tests of leading protein supplements we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day — some by more than 10 times !

It's hard to overstate how bad this stuff is. Only degenerate high school debaters and Marxist academics read it, and even then, it's generally only to serve as a status marker of one's asceticism.

Marcuse/Deleuze/Debord hold up INCREDIBLY poorly, and there's a reason that the only people who still read them are in niche self-perpetuating subfields of critical theory who *have to* because otherwise their subfield would cease to exist. Not that I like Moldbug or w/e.
@apralky Also it's ridiculous to say that communists held sway just because of highly esoteric postmodern texts, go read anything by Marcuse or Deleuze or Debord compared to "Moldbug" or Andreessen, the latter will seem like absolute children in comparison

This article's whole premise is funny bc 1) yes, populists do tend to crash the economy but 2) Milei's ecom policies in particular are anti-populist and 3) jury's still out but wasn't the Arg. economy crashing bc ppl thought his party might *lose* the midterm election?

Vladimir Kramnik needs a lifetime ban from @USChess and @FIDE_chess. This mockery of our institutions and players has gone on long enough. Yes, he was a world champion. Now he is a dangerous crackpot weaponizing spurious accusations of cheating. Enough. Reminiscent of Fischer.
I have contacted the Charlotte police Department and asked them to investigate the death of Daniel, providing them some additional info . Hope will be done, and real truth about the curcumstances and cause of this tradegy will be revealed, despite all attempts to hide it

This might be about as demoralizing of a roster as you can get in the NBA. Terence Mann is the only guy on this roster who would touch the floor on a contending, playoff team, and barely. Ben Saraf is an Israeli 19-year-old I guess, so that's... interesting.

The bad part isn't that they're tearing down and modernizing the East Wing. That's fine. The bad part is that they mystifyingly lied about it and said they were leaving it intact, just removing the façade. Why would they lie about that? Bizarre.
