No I'm not talking about Snyder, we had almost 20 years of "evil superman" or "superman is too boring to work nowadays" to the point where DC tried to drastically change the character for a while.

I did enjoy man of steel but the tone was a bit too cynical for me, some things worked but i wasnt a big fan of the Jesus allegory in general. It was an interesting take on Superman though!.

Never said anything against Snyder or his movies, idk where this hostility is coming from. We had "edgy Superman" or "Evil superman" for almost 20 years, it goes way further than MoS, it's just nice to have a movie that centers around his kindness and love for humanity.
Really hope this movie fixes Superman perception bc people genuinely think he should never smile or show any emotions. Legit saw people having troubles with the idea of Superman saving a squirrel and caring about civilians so much, is not even funny.

I was watching clips from the all star superman movie and there were people saying ''whoever made this movie didn't understand superman at all'' and the scene in question was a direct translation from the comics 😭.

Second time in a row where i go to see a movie and i sit right next to a parent who needs to describe EVERY SCENE to their child. First time was Flow, I couldnt really enjoy watching a mute film💀. Second time was superman, parent brought their child to a subtitled function.
