This thing on the US Right where queer people and Leftists are routinely labelled as "groomers" - i.e. as a direct physical predatory threat to children - is the project of defamatory social re-classification you get as reactionaries move toward exterminationist social cleansing.

I was trying to find a couple of excerpts I posted a couple of years ago about politics around the Harvard Agreement, but I can't see the comments under this tweet which I think had one of them - can other people see any comments?.

@buttslolproduc1 @MuricaSuxxx69 @EladNehorai @Natan_Levy Probably not the place for a massive debate, but whether its Zionists in the '30s utterly undermining the economic boycott against the Nazis to instead institute the Haavara Agreement, or the fascist tendencies in the Revisionist Zionist groups, or the active alliance of. .

I honestly don't know how to express the degree to which the destruction of Libgen is a disaster.

That's right, assassination causes inflation. And like any other form of struggles or contestation that materially impacts profits, assassinations ultimately hurt people already struggling with inflation caused by people not being sufficiently poor and scared.

I mean the obvious, banal capitalist critique. You can assassinate a CEO, but you just know that United Health Care will increase a thousand forms of security and pass those costs on to the consumer in the form of higher prices!.

Not merely because of the realities of capitalism manifestly informing the actions a CEO takes, operating within the self-expansion of capital and reproduction of capitalist social relations. That's the obvious, banal socialist critique.

I don't know, maybe I'll write up some notes on that blue sky thing instead, never really did much of that despite having the account. It does seem like there's an actual exodus from Twitter. Unless people are just unfollowing from my account of course.

The ways social movements can push critique into the nominal mainstream, make space for new watered down versions to emerge from within existing institutions, the ways the core of the US 'military-industrial' system persists. .

As a kind of marker of a process of intellectual-historical development, I was thinking about the production of and responses to the 1970 book The Pentagon Watchers, what made it possible in a way I don't think could happen in the same way now.

Haven't posted much recently because as little attention as my activity mostly gets, I'm not sure people would even be THAT interested in me reporting on the specifics of US discussions of the concept of the 'national security state' in the very late '60s and very early '70s.

With maybe some degree of irony, Vishniak was already well into his socialist-Zionist phase when he wrote the comments, including the excerpt below, critical of the political basis of this population transfer project, in the April 1947 issue of Jewish Social Studies.

One of the very few to articulate something like an actual critique of this project was former delegate to both the All-Russian Congress of Soviets of Peasants' Deputies and the Constituent Assembly Mark Vishniak, who had eventually ended up a Time Magazine journalist in the US.
