A fair point between two evenly matched sides for me. Some really nice passages of play, some not so good. Higgins a real positive, and great for Jayden to answer some of his blue and white critics on what I imagine was a difficult day for him in some aspects. #ECFC

To my untrained eye, our profit is generated from player sales. I think my question is, without someone coming in to invest millions out of the goodness of their heart, where could they develop us so that both they and the club benefit, whilst holding on to key players?

An honest question to those looking to move away from the trust model - what about us make us an attractive opportunity for an owner with enough money to take us forward? Not being pedantic, genuinely interested to see the reasons people feel we would be a good investment #ECFC

Another game where we had some opportunities but never really got going enough to apply real pressure. Not miles off it, showed attacking intent at times but lacked threat. Thought the new signings off the bench looked sharp and exciting which is positive moving forward #ECFC

Reminds me of Grounds, who ended up contributing more than most expected when he arrived. Good experience amongst our relatively young back line. #ECFC

I’ll happily allow Whitworth pretending to be injured a couple of times a game if he’s going to play like that - has his critics, I don’t understand why, MOTM just for his final 10 minutes alone in a game lacking quality overall #ECFC

Attacking very poor, lacked any real threat beyond set pieces. However, we defending exceptionally and stayed in the game, no poor goals conceded as in previous games so gave ourselves a chance. Work to be done but a great 3 points on the road! #ECFC

As much as it is a shame we can’t keep them for obvious reasons, one of my only reasons for watching PL football is to watch our former players. However good they are, still feels slightly surreal to see Ampadu captaining Leeds (and of course Ollie). Great for the club #ECFC

Disappointing, especially following last week. A shame to not see us stick to our guns after a promising opening 25 minutes - seemed to lose confidence in the game plan that worked well against Blackpool. A positive was Sonny did well coming on, looked hungry #ECFC

It’s clear that our players will need us as a 12th man more than ever this season. We have the opportunity to spur the team on by getting behind them or to wait for a chance to boo and complain. I know which atmosphere I’d rather be part of, regardless of off-field activity #ECFC

I wouldn’t be disappointed to re-sign him later down the line, and wish him the best regardless - I just don’t see the clamouring for each new signing to be him.

I liked what I saw of Pat Jones and think we should definitely be looking for a player of that profile before the end of the window. However, I can see why a contract hasn’t been offered - he had 0 goals and assists and only managed 1/3 of our games last season. #ECFC
