The most exciting thing about Motherwell’s performance is there are still elements that can be improved. A strong performance and deserved to beat Rangers, bravery to play style they have in League Cup is a credit to manager. J Koutroumbis and L Fadinger two of my standouts.

From Clyde to Morton, very evident progress in early days of Jens Berthel Askou’s reign at Motherwell. New additions seem to be slotting in nicely and style of play has real potential to be exciting. Some patience required in early stages but good signs so far. Elliot Watt 🥿🚬.

Motherwell have made intriguing moves this summer. Good to be in a position to add quality over quantity after recent squad size issues. With key players back to fitness, add a defensive midfielder and centre back, that should be that until Lennon Miller situation is clearer.

First impressions of Jens Berthel Askou are he's an articulate manager with clear ideas of how he's going to set up his Motherwell team. New assistant to come in and emphasised need for club to stabilise after manager changes this year.

Would've liked to see S Seddon stick about. Injuries a factor but every time he played, was a decent outlet going forward. Already a fairly sizeable group of players at club for this time in June, so some exits perhaps give Jens Berthel Askou scope for some signings of his.

Motherwell have continued to work on player recruitment amid the search for a new manager. A little bit on Ademola Ola-Adebomi, who's one possible addition in attacking area. Had a couple of loans and had a prolific end to season at Premier League 2 level.

Say what you want about the opposition they’re playing but the fact Lennon Miller looks totally at home with Premier League and Serie A captains plus a winner of the latter says plenty. Maybe a bit of self belief isn’t a bad thing after all 🤷🏼‍♂️.

The game another matter but what a night for the Motherwell academy. Max Johnston starting and Lennon Miller off the bench. Following on from David Turnbull and Allan Campbell in the 2020s, an academy the envy of many.

Always think you can gauge how good, bad or indifferent a player has been by fan reaction at previous club. Sometimes not the case but pretty unanimous best wishes and praise from Dundee for Jordan McGhee says a lot. Fills a range of positions and added experience at Motherwell.
