Made up to receive an honorary doctorate from The University of Salford. I’d like to thank the whole of the @UoS_HealthSoc for supporting me to forge a career in an area I’m so passionate about. To receive this award in recognition of that works impact is amazing.

“Jenny doesn’t need her wheelchair anymore.”. Not because there’s anything wrong with using one — but because she set a goal to improve her mobility, and smashed it. With support from Beyond Empower and her mum, Helen, and her own determination, she’s made huge progress.

One of the most rewarding parts of leading Beyond Empower is seeing the impact our work has—not just for the people we support, but for those who join us on the journey. Dan’s story is a great reminder that when we do good, we grow. Grateful to have Dan as part of the team.

Honoured to take on this co-chair role. Greater Manchester Mayors Disabled People’s Panel has done fantastic work in influencing Greater Manchester in the best interests of disabled people for many years now. I’m looking forward to being more involved in supporting that.

In South Korea, I spotted something unique to help make getting around easier for blind and visually impaired people. Crossing have these cool floor lights to let people know whether it’s safe to cross or not. Ideal for those who struggle with the distance of the green / red mwn
