Last Thursday, we held our annual Shelter Services Holiday Party at Asbury United Methodist Church in York with a surprise visit from Santa! Everyone was treated to a good meal, and the kids all came away with a new toy and a smile!

Special thanks to Addison Peel, Julia Meagher, and Linval Griffiths from @YorkCountryDay! With the help of supervisor Katie Ritter Torres, they organized a holiday drive for items to donate to Bell Family Shelter and brought over 300 items yesterday. Well done, everyone!

Participants of the Future Leaders of York came by our main office this morning to bake and deliver cookies to employees and service users! They all had a jolly time complete with Christmas carols and- a conga line?! Thanks to FLY for spreading some holiday cheer this season!

As part of National Kindness Week, five students in Jane Ireland's fifth and sixth grade reading classes delivered hand-made cards with pictures and encouraging words to Bell service users and staff! They were even rewarded with a surprise candy treat to share with their class!
