"Godzilla Minus One" and "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" will be screened as a double feature on ScreenX at 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku on April 26th.
The novelization for GxK seems to imply the Mothra Jia revives is the either the first/original Mothra or the Ultimate Mothra. “The Mother of all Mothras”
The only difference between Godzilla and Skar King is that you've all bought Serizawa's propaganda. This guy is a dictator. Killing innocent Titans sleeping in their homes so he can eat their energy all so he can stay in power. No different than throwing his haters into lava.
The novel makes it clear that Kong doesn’t like the Skar King’s lava filled lair and that it’s more like a place Skull crawlers would live. Kong prefers the jungle and cliffs near his cave.
I wonder if the Kongs will relocate out of there in between or in the next movie.
I still think the most baller move
@Legendary
could do next is getting the rights to these mfers.
Godzilla, Kong, Mothra, Ultraman, Gamera. That’s an Avengers level team up.
I wonder what plans Legendary has for Mothra, she was supposed to appear in the end credits of both KOTM and GvK but was cut. Now she finally returns in GxK and you can hear her roar after the credits. What are they cooking?
“Even within the Monsterverse, we’ve gone through a major fluctuation…We’re on that Shōwa era tip now, but I’m but I’m sure these movie will eventually swing back around into being what 2014 was like. It’s going to depend on the filmmaker.”
We need to see Houston Brooks in
#Monarch
season 2. He was the person closest to Bill Randa in Kong Skull Island, and has been to the island multiple times. An interaction between him and Keiko would be amazing to see.
Everyone needs to show up for this movie the way they did for Troll and The sea beast. If there was any project that will push Ultraman further in the west it’s this one. Kaiju fans, Toku fans, animation fans, Ultraman fans etc. need to check it out.
in hindsight these are still the best monsterverse protagonists solely because they know when to shut the fuck up. pretty one-note but they bring one thing future MV protagonists don't: the sweet, sweet sound of silence.
I find it funny how people are using the Monarch show to prop up 2014 and Skull Island and to shit on KOTM. Yet Mike Dougherty is the only MV director confirmed to have some kind of involvement with the show. All 3 are peak either way.
According to the Collider interview with Matt Shakman, Monarch takes place in 2015, after Godzilla’s spines were destroyed in Aftershock late 2014. The shots of Godzilla we see in the trailer show Godzilla in the 50s and 2014 when he still retained the Garegoji spines
.
@Legendary
you have the rights to Godzilla, King Kong, and Pacific Rim. LICENSE THEM OUT FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE A FIGHTING GAME. THERES MORE THAN ENOUGH CHARACTERS.
You know what’s be cool. Since Legendary is now partnered with Sony to distribute their films, I’d like to see them work with Sony Pictures Animation on a big budget Godzilla animated movie, either Monsterverse or standalone.
