This week #BEFScale researcher @tom_fairchild and Masters student Josh have been developing tools to map the abundance of diff #species of canopy-forming brown #seaweeds using our #multispectral #drone! We can see diffs between #fucus, #ascophyllum and #kelp spp! #science #coasts

Over the past few months we have been out mapping intertidal #seaweeds across the UK. Using extensive field and multispectral aerial surveys we are hoping to understand how diverse "Marine Forests" contribute to healthy #coastal #ecosystems across local and national scales 🪸😍
