Wavemakers team members will be learning, listening and reflecting on the legacy of colonization and the actions we will take to support decolonization - beginning with a review of the 94 calls to action set out in the Commission of Canada: Truth and Reconciliation Report.

In keeping with this commitment to space-making, Wavemakers will refrain from all social media and other forms of communications tomorrow to hold space for Indigenous voices.

For non-indigenous people, #TruthAndReconciliationDay is a day to hold space for Indigenous voices, perspectives, histories and experiences. While tomorrow is a day dedicated to this space-making, the intention of learning, reflection, and decolonization must continue every day.

Tomorrow, September 30th is the #NationalDayForTruthAndReconciliation. A day to honour survivors, their families, and communities, and ensure that public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools remains a vital component of the reconciliation process.
