For all those @OfficialBDSL "I got the ball" stans. Read it all. Good luck to all teams in your hopes of playoff glory!.
If a challenge for the ball is careless, reckless or using excessive force, it is a foul whether or not a player makes contact with the ball. The referee awards a free kick/penalty kick and takes appropriate sanction, even if the offender touches the ball when making a challenge.
