About a month ago, Battleship New Jersey departed from her pier for the first time in over 20 years. To prepare for her transit under the Walt Whitman Bridge, we removed her mast and radar.

I Was Stationed In Long Beach California, From 1988-90, On USS Kirk FF-1087.
The New Jersey And The Missouri Were Both There At That Time.
For Me, It Was Incredible Two See That Much History All In One Place, Especially Since They Were Both Still Active Combatants.
