ROAD CLOSURE TONIGHT Please note our road closure operates from 6pm until midnight along the following roads. Powdermill Lane, High Street, Upper Lake, Lower Lake & Station Approach.

A quick heads up - there has been a sign placed by the highways agency advertising our road closure is 6pm - 10pm. This is incorrect. The road closure is 6pm-midnight. Sorry for any confusion

If you plan to attend our event this Saturday please ensure you bring plenty of cash for two reasons: 1. There are no cash points in the town centre 2. You will want to donate some money to our charity collection as every penny collected is given away

The earliest known reference to bonfire celebrations in Battle is in 1646 when St Mary`s Church allocated 2 Shillings and 6 pence in funds for gunpowder treason rejoicing.
