Always love this bookplate that Lockwood Kipling designed for his son Rudyard. That man (RK himself?) reading and smoking in his howdah is delightful. Part of an excellent totally refurbished display in the Exhibition Room at @BatemansNT. Thanks @freddiematthews and Hannah Miles

Beautiful @BatemansNT . Once the house of Rudyard Kipling, author of many books, but probably the most well known work is The Jungle Book. Quite like the reflection! π @nationaltrust @southeastNT
