There is *one* specific section that made me think "This is what Metroid Prime is all about", but unfortunately it's the high point and the game just goes down after that.

It's a shame cause at its core, the game is fun to play, I did have my share of fun, but the more I progressed the more bad stuff accumulated. I'd rather go replay Dread or any of the previous Prime games now.

Finished Metroid Prime 4 earlier and I don't think I wanna play it again, unfortunately it's incredibly linear and the backtracking feels artificial, the desert area is just a gimmick duct taped together, and there's a lot of sections that just did not hit that Prime feeling.

I'm almost done with the level I'm working on, once the final section is complete, I'll have to tinker with a new boss fight, after that, time to work on the final set of levels 😎 #goldensouls3

I've been slowly reworking another classic doom enemy to bring it back in the mix of the GS3 roster, pretty excited cause I don't think I ever had him in his regular form in a GS game earlier.

So far Captain Wayne is an explosion of fun, the gameplay is very addicting with how smooth the movement and the weapons are, it has been a long time since I played a Gzdoom-related project so this is really refreshing for me to experience👀

I hope to get back to work as soon as possible, as I wanna finish this map and move onto the final area and final set of levels of the campaign.

To update everyone on the status of GS3, this week I haven't been able to work on it as well, unfortunately I was recovering from gastroenteritis and now I have an ear infection of some kind, it's been stressful enough that I haven't been feeling myself lately.

Here's Golden Souls 3 running on the pre-release version of #UZDoom Going forward, UZDoom will be the one (and only) sourceport supported for this project, as I intend to make full use of what the dev team will add next.

Unfortunately there’s been no progress on Golden Souls 3 this week as I’m too sick to focus, the doctor said I have a bad form of gastroenteritis, I’m taking antibiotics, I hope that things will start to get better this incoming week.
