Finished my portrait of JRR Tolkien. Lost track of the hours this took but as Tolkien himself said, "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." .

Finished section finally cleaned up so I could take a proper picture. Feels really good to walk in and see the results of a LOT of work. Can't wait to write a novel in here.

So I've repurposed an exterior door to use as a nice big window, and I'd like to add trim. The door is quite heavy and feels coated in something hard. But if you look into the knob hole, you can see the interior of the door is wood. Does anyone know the best way to attach trim to

Turns out it was a good day to rest. My body really needed it. Might take tomorrow off too if need be. I think lugging the huge slabs of flagstone for the fireplace hearth did me in yesterday. (And even if I feel closer to normal, I'm taking some days away from heavy lifting).

If the prices can change by the time I reach the checkout counter, forget it. Stores need to just stop with this.
American shows digital pricing tags have hit the shelves at Walmart All the pricing tags begin to flicker, the prices update and he shows prices increase This is the first step to dynamic pricing

Well today was very likely the last day to do stonework as the nights ahead are too cold. But i got a lot done on the last day on the fireplace, and if no more warm days happen, I'm set up really well for next Spring.

This is gonna require some serious effort as I'm completely exhausted after these 7-day work weeks. I've got good nutrition tonight, will get good long sleep. But boy it's gonna be a day tomorrow. Wish me luck!
As it turns out I was gifted with one more day tomorrow of good enough weather for stonework so the goal is to finish the entire base of the fireplace section. Hope to leave it in a great spot for resuming work next Spring.

I also got the hearth rear wall stone installed. It took awhile physically plus I had to find the right stone that had some character. Was too dark for a picture. But coming soon!

Work on the fireplace today. Manhandled the huge base stones (for lack of a better term) into place. Must've weighed 2-300 lbs each.

Tomorrow might be the last day to do stonework for the year as the nights ahead are below freezing. Gonna bust my hide to get as much done as I can. Or as they say, gonna leave it all on the field.

Does anyone know if X's livestream feature is used/ watched by people or if they've monetized it for content creators? Twitter owned Periscope, a livestreaming app(where I had a show) but then they shut down the app to keep users on X. Hoping to livestream art once again.

This guys stone fireplace build has been a really cool thing to follow… The old cabin has two fireplaces with iron stone sourced off this land so I’ve really enjoyed seeing him choose the stones an lay it out… Art work is crazy good too.
Alright y'all, the weather's good enough so I'm starting to build my fireplace tomorrow. Crazy tired from today's work, but super stoked to start this new creation in the morning. Woot!
