Regular people will use Bitcoin for payments because it’s just a better asset than fiat: no inflation, no printing, no borders, low fees. They won’t care about decentralization or blockchain tech even if that’s what makes it all possible.

There is no second best (to Bitcoin) when it comes to the specific use case of blockchain based money. But generally comparing Bitcoin to other crypto is truly an apples to oranges comparison. How about a better internet (BAT), or an alternative to AWS (ETH), ugc/avatar gaming.
