First "public" appearance of the Brave Engineer train, while it's not 100 percent complete, it's enough for friends to see!

More accurate color for the boiler front, this is Tamiya XF-18 "medium blue" looks to be a pretty close if not exact match.

Yesterday's test lasted for about 2 1/2 hours, till the battery died (wasn't even a full charge) the loco does need additional weight towards the front. I had to take the motor block apart 4 times yesterday, turns out the axles were in backwards (gears weren't meshing properly)

I’m gonna take some better photos later and go through the whole production history of this guy, but for right now I’m just basking in the fact that he’s here.

First test runs today! Everything went well, need to do slight adjustments. Lights still need to be hooked up, amongst other details, also new 3D print domes arrived today. (Currently their is no pin for the drawbar)

Cab is finished and fully painted! I'm starting on the cab interior as well. Now to paint the domes and reinstall the motorblock.

New cab for the "Brave Engineer" locomotive is shaping up nicely, lots of styrene and model filler, needs additional sanding.

Starting to kitbash the cab for the "Brave Engineer" locomotive. This is a Delton C-16 cab I've had for years, and it's mated with a Lionel G scale 0-6-0 peaked cab roof. This requires styrene, model filler, and lots of sanding! The domes for now will be painted as well.

Progress on the G scale "Brave Engineer" locomotive, still a lot of work to do, but I'm loving how it's looking so far. The cab still needs styrene work, and many other details need to be added.

Work progresses on no. 2 from "The Brave Engineer" , new brass details are being installed, chassis is being worked on, and the stack is complete. I've had the stack for a few years (it was from shape ways) finally have a use for it!
