Old pigeon crees on Cockfield Fell, County Durham. They were used by miners who worked the fell years ago (the mining stopped in 1962). ​It’s amazing to see these structures still standing. A quiet reminder of the people and the industrial life that shaped the region. 📸Photo

High Force in sunlight at 6am this Summer Solstice morning in North Pennines National Landscape. (Who needs Stonehenge?!) Interesting to see the complex rock formation so clearly with low water and sunlight... And I'll be at Middleton Farmers Market tomorrow (Saturday).
