The ICJ orders an expert report to assess Uganda's reparations
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered, Tuesday, September 22, an expertise to assess the damage of the Ugandan occupation of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) between 1998 and 2003.
Experts will also have to assess the number of property damaged or destroyed by the Kampala army in Ituri and by the clashes between the Rwandan and Ugandan armies in June 2000 in Kisangani. They will also need to assess the cost of rebuilding schools, hospitals and homes.
