I don’t celebrate the further commoditization of collegiate athletics, but I am glad the team I cheer for is proactively maneuvering themselves towards staying competitive as the game continues to transform into a shameless market.

I remember truly wanting Utah and BYU succeed as a kid even growing up in a Utah family. I was 13 when the Max Hall stuff went down, and the rivalry turned very ugly. Never felt the same since. Trying to be happy for the good fans and cheering for a good game today. Go B12!

I dont think the playoffs are likely for the Utes....but can I just say how happy I am with this season? Going from an awful 5-7 season to this has been amazing.

Having an honor code isn’t a bad thing. But whenever these situations crop up, it’s a nice reminder that the Honor Code relies on the honor *system*. And that college kids are college kids. It’s no guarantor of moral superiority (which I know *most* BYU fans are fully aware of)

Comparing BYU and Utah L’s to Texas Tech is goofy and I’m tired of it. They made us both look very bad, where we both look very good in the majority of our respective games.

As a Ute fan, I’ve been VERY annoyed with BYU this year. The high and mighty bit which is a given from a % of Y fans has been inflated by a good season. It’s been tough to take at times. Regardless, it’s still been a good year for them and trying to own em today is a goofy look.
