While this progress is promising and the fruit of a collective effort to co-produce public safety, we can not and will not stop building on this work and delivering for Baltimore until no life is lost to violence in our city.

Yesterday, our team joined @BaltimorePolice to share our year-end updates with the City Council. The facts stand. Baltimore has seen fewer homicides through December 1, 2025, than any other year on record going back to at least 1970.

Following a tragedy, no one should be left to pick up the pieces alone. It is families like Destiny and Patricia that @BaltimoreMONSE continues to provide real support and real care, when they need it the most. https://t.co/yhpXvmjk67 🎥: WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore

It’s simple. When we create pathways for people to take ownership over safety in their own communities, we help build a safer Baltimore.

As of this morning, Baltimore has seen a 29.8% decrease in homicides and a 25.2% decline in non-fatal shootings. As we enter the last month of the year, we are doubling down on our work to continue this progress into 2026 and beyond. One life lost to violence is one too many.
