Tonight the County Council passed legislation to weaken Baltimore County’s bipartisan Bring Your Own Bag law.
Collectively, these bills are a clear step backwards for Baltimore County and I will veto them.

Focus your vigor on real issues that impact us every day. Juvenile crime, gun violence - nobody wants their tax dollars dedicated to plastic bags. WAKE UP
@BaltCoExec
I just do not understand why we have to pay for either kind of bag. Fine ban plastic,but give me a bag of some kind. It is the cost of doing business. BTW, I bring my own bags!
@BaltCoExec
Thank you for taking a stand on this!👏👏 It seems a majority of the Council decided to retaliate by taking away 2 of your appts to the new Council Structure Workgroup. "Because your mind's made up' says the man who's said in TV he sees no need for more Council representation.

@BaltCoExec
, you are underestimating your base. We care about crime not plastic bags. Forget the veto and start working on the crime issues...
@BaltCoExec
While you keep your BIG SUBURBAN RUNNING at Towson polls summer 2022 to have lunch with your poll workers. Bigger issues than bags facing Baltimore County.
@BaltCoExec
Reusable bags are far worse for the environment than single use plastic. These movements are symbolic and just another way to generate revenue for the county. We all know who the residents are who litter - “teens” and “scholars” - the same who commit violent crime
