Most Maryland students haven’t set foot in a classroom since March. Our kids need to be in classrooms, face-to-face with their teachers – that’s why I’m asking Governor Hogan to include educators in the priority groups to receive vaccinations.
@BaltCoExec
You want to vaccinate teachers so when students infect them they won't be harmed?
But students still go home to families and teachers still go home to families.
Vaccinated teachers can still spread Covid to family at home. And students can still do the same.
Don't be an idiot.

Seriously you wanna send out the little superspreaders! Within weeks the schools would be shut down again! Parents don’t care, they send sick kids to school and lie about it! Rethink the process!

Now they want to be essential workers? Now? When there’s a benefit? What about the elderly not in nursing homes and grocery store workers that have been dealing with this since day one?
@BaltCoExec
The vaccine is not recommended for ages 16 and under, so even if teachers get the vaccine, the students are not protected from each other! Does your request really make sense to you?!?!
@BaltCoExec
Idk about this. This puts kids at a great risk for sickness. The thought of having monitor a student to wear a mask? Ensure proper sanitizing of hands when common objects are touch? And curious to know how distance learning has gone

Meanwhile, private schools have been running, in person, and there hasn’t been a massive outbreak. Care to take a stab at that one Johnny?
