Founded in 1986 to provide a rescue service to the locality of North Kerry and West Limerick. Operating two IB1 D-Classes and an Atlantic 75 B-Class rescue boat

A quick time lapse of a full scrub down of our primary IB1 D-Class today. While the boats are washed after every launch, they still build up dirt and scum on the sponsons. Nothing a bit of elbow grease won’t fix!!

What an incredible evening in Ballybunion for some training and swim tests! Did you know that our crews must be able to swim, in full PPE, from the Virgins rock to the cliff? Tonight, some of the crew completed the yearly swim test completed! . #BallybunionRescue

This AM we were requested by the Gardaí to search for a small boat which was afloat in the outer Shannon estuary. No persons were reported aboard and as a result, a shore search was commenced. The boat was located up river from Ballybunion and recovered by the Naval Service.

📟 CALLOUT 📟. At 15:40hrs today our pagers were set off to respond to a multi agency incident on the Lakes of Killarney where a vessel had run around. Shortly after tasking, and prior to our departure from Ballybunion, we were stood down as the vessel had refloated.
