As I see it the solution is simple Start small, community gardens, engineering guilds and small local co-ops. Do this everywhere. Build networks of people who can do stuff and get them doing stuff together to the benefit of the surrounding community at a local level. /1

I just came across this quote by Iranian Sociologist, Dr. Ali Shariati. He was one of the influences behind the Iranian revolution. It's rumored that the Shah of Iran's SAVAK forces killed him at the ripe old age of 44 years. This applies to all institutions across all ages.
