The King of the Planets. The Prime Minister of the Solar System. JUPITER in all its glory. My best image to date. I dedicate this to @erfmufn Dylan and send this beast energy to heal him. Jupiter is one of my favorites to image. Enjoy! https://t.co/GBCZ2s3hrx

So are we going to pretend Will Byers doesn’t still have POWERS and is the only one left that does at the end of Stranger Things 5? #StrangerThings5 #StrangerThings

Dear weather Gods. Please make it stop raining and windy skies in Southern California… I can’t image planets lol Signed a desperate astronomer

Winters are always pretty bad for Southern California imaging. No plans to shoot planets. Also I was in the ER but I am out now. Hoping for more clear skies and no winds. The winds are the main issue here for astrophotography of the Planets. 🪐 Saturn left, Jupiter awaits

Saturn's thinnest rings of 2025 visible from the backyard telescope. #Saturn and they will not be this thin until 2038-2039! https://t.co/dyJHziLZR6

The Southern California rain storms are nonstop. I won’t be shooting the planets for weeks at this rate. Probably the raineist fall I’ve seen here in a long time.

Cloudy at my place but In Southern California the Northern lights showed up on the webcam despite some clouds. Never seen it this bright before. Sadly I missed the event

Venus is very hidden next to the Sun but an experienced astronomer can snuff it out with a telescope. This is an image taken this morning of Venus at 97% full. #venus #astronomy Using 16" DOB backyard Telescope. Enjoy. https://t.co/ShyKFMfNOM

Above average seeing tonight awarded me with Saturn’s Titan and Rhea visiting each other. I missed the transit of Titan but noticed Rhea caught up with Titan giving a nice photo op. Saturn's rings are thin now. #saturn #astronomy #photo

A Quarter for Mercury. The elusive closest planet to our sun in real color. You can see orange pyroclastic deposits at the top. Taken August 21, 2025 through the 16" Backyard DOB telescope. https://t.co/5MJS73A3H1
