Thank @AgustinMIbanez and @LACCD9 for showing that accelerated aging and dementia are associated with cortical hyperexcitability and hypoexcitability, respectively, especially in socioeconomically disadvantaged people. Let's fight poverty and use personalized brain stimulation
Brain clocks are modulated by disease, exposome, genetics, & whole-body health. But what are the underlying mechanisms? Clocks estimate biological age, not the underlying processes. We tackle this through biophysical modeling in aging and dementia🧵1/5: https://t.co/mPHd40MuEV

Great advancements of @GntknB on beneficial non-invasive brain stimulations with audiovisual 40 Hz flashes in Alzheimer's patients: empowered resting-state EEG alpha rhythms, possibly improving vigilance. Hope to see EEG biomarkers soon in the A-T-N Framework (Jack et al., 2024)
It was a great honor to be one of the symposium speakers at the 19th European Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology. Many thanks to Prof. Claudio Babiloni for leading this symposium.

@GntknB, @GorsevYener, and @LauraBonanni6 told her navigation over stormy "gender" waves in academia. Mentors, husbands, offsprings, and science asked for more, more, more. The gave, but the academic system is too male-centric (fig.) and must change
It was such a great experience to talk in the Symposium called "Women in Neuroscience" at Sapienze University of Rome We talked together with Prof.Dr Görsev Yener and Prof. Dr. Laura Bonani All three different stories, all three different ways of struggling with hard world of

A special thanks to co-authors of @BrainlatUAI for their work for validating EEG biomarkers in aging and dementia starting from Berger's discovery and dream. These biomarkers may unveil the socio-economic and gender determinants of dementia to inspire new public health policies
A century after Hans Berger’s discovery of human EEG, @BabiloniClaudio and our team revisit his vision - can EEG biomarkers help in Alzheimer’s disease (AD)? 🧠💡 Out on Clinical Neurophysiology: https://t.co/ANq7ucn6Qf

Thanks to @ClinicalNeuroph and many co-authors. In his first paper (1929), Berger was the first to introduce the "resting-state condition" in Neurosciences and linked EEG alpha to vigilance of "mind wandering" for clinical brain research. @AgustinMIbanez @GntknB @sosa_valdes
