One thing that I think would help is if Shorts had its own separate app and experience. Some of the watch data can cross between to help with content selection, but short form only on the Shorts dedicated app and long-form just on Youtube I think would help a lot.
Warning. Shorts can destroy the momentum on your YouTube channel. After testing on my channel and looking at the data the results were not good and was confirmed by a group of creators I trust. My decision is to remove the shorts off my channel and put them on a new channel.

Funny thing about being in IT. A user will put in a ticket and say it's an emergency, and then they will be unreachable by email and phone for a week. The minute you close the ticket due to non-response. They reopen it 2 minutes later and they are still unavailable.
